Video Transcription
Hi, this is John Miller from Heart Rhythm Society. I represent Indiana University School of Medicine and we've got some workshops to go through here. These are my disclosures. First question, the rhythm strip shown above is from a 77-year-old woman two days after a hysterectomy. Two seconds after the end of the strip, QRS complex has reappeared. She felt light-headed and thinks she was having a bowel movement at the time. She's never had CP. Based on this information, you advise a dual chamber pacemaker insertion, electrophysiologic testing with stressing of the AV conduction system, continued observation with no specific testing or therapy, or a stool softener.
Video Summary
John Miller from the Heart Rhythm Society, representing Indiana University School of Medicine, discusses a case involving a 77-year-old woman who experienced dizziness post-hysterectomy. Following a rhythm strip analysis showing a temporary absence of the QRS complex, several management options are considered: insertion of a dual chamber pacemaker, electrophysiologic testing with AV conduction system stress, continued observation without specific testing or therapy, or prescribing a stool softener.
