Video Summary
The Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) hosted a member town hall to introduce its new five-year strategic plan. Developed over nearly a year with input from the Board of Trustees, staff, a working group, member “Pathfinders,” surveys, and interviews, the plan aims to lead the global growth and transformation of heart rhythm care while empowering patients to live fully.

Its four strategic pillars are:
- Elevating member value and engagement through education, mentorship, networking, advocacy, and clearer communication.
- Expanding global impact and partnerships with regional and professional societies.
- Accelerating research and innovation by connecting researchers and sharing scientific advances.
- Guiding the adoption of AI and digital health, including helping members assess and integrate new tools.

The discussion emphasized patient education, greater inclusion and support for international and allied health professional members, and opportunities for volunteers to contribute. HRS also addressed member concerns about recertification, clinician burnout, workforce shortages, and collaboration around atrial fibrillation risk factors and heart failure.

The plan will be published on the HRS website and shared through member communications. Staff are aligning current work with its priorities and developing a dashboard to track progress, which the Board will review regularly. The leaders encouraged members to provide feedback and get involved.
