Achieving health equity remains a critical challenge across the globe, particularly for underrepresented racial groups, women, and older populations who frequently face systemic barriers to accessing quality healthcare. This session seeks to explore innovative and practical approaches to dismantle these barriers and promote equitable management of heart rhythm disorders. A joint session with Association of Black Cardiologists, Inc.
Learning Objectives
Articulate the various factors that lead to health disparities and recognize how systemic inequities impact these specific populations in the treatment of heart rhythm disorders.
Engage with and empower these population, ensuring their experiences and perspectives inform healthcare practices and policies. This will enable participants to contribute to more inclusive and equitable treatment of heart rhythm disorders.
Summarize the practical tools and approaches to actively advocate for and implement changes that reduce disparities and promote equitable health outcomes in the management of heart rhythm disorders.
