Atrial Resynchronization - The Next Frontier in Physiologic Pacing

Description

This session will review the concepts of atrial resynchronization with focus on the anatomy and electrophysiology of the atria followed by a comparison of various atrial pacing strategies and, finally, a discussion of how to incorporate Bachmann's bundle pacing with instruction on implant techniques and post-procedure management.

Learning Objectives

Describe the anatomy and electrophysiological properties of the atrium as it relates to impulse formation and conduction.
Review the clinical implications of traditional versus physiologic atrial pacing
Review clinical techniques for achieving physiologic pacing in the atrium.
