Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy: A Contemporary Look at Arrhythmic Risk and Treatment
Description
Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, the commonest form of inherited heart disease, is associated with atrial and ventricular arrhythmias. Join the experts to learn how to identify those at risk for atrial and ventricular arrhythmias and to review available treatment options. The session will also highlight the current recommendations for exercise and sports participation and a look ahead to gene therapy.
Learning Objectives
  • To recognize which patients are at risk for atrial fibrillation and sudden cardiac death.
  • To review treatment options for arrhythmia management including outcomes from catheter ablation.
  • To review the data behind the current recommendations for exercise and sports participation.
