Pacing Options for Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF): Conduction System, Bachman Bundle, and Beyond!

Description

While there is an established role for pacing to improve dyssynchrony and improve outcomes in wide QRS and systolic heart failure, there are also now emerging data regarding the importance of pacing in patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). The purpose of this session is to review pacing options for the HFpEF patient, including Bachman bundle pacing and conduction system pacing along with tips and tricks for a successful implant.

Learning Objectives

Review the physiological response of pacing in HFpEF patients.
Identify HFpEF populations who are most likely to benefit from pacing strategies.
Describe specific strategies for successful implant for Bachman Bundle Pacing and Conduction System Pacing in the HFpEF patient.
