The Case That Keeps Me Up At Night

Description

In this case based session, experts in CIED implantation and management will present cases related to particularly challenging experiences. Presenters will be encouraged to discuss cases in which complications may have occurred or unusual circumstances led to nontraditional approaches. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from the experiences – and, perhaps, even mistakes – of experts. Presenting and discussing mistakes and complications can be particularly instructive especially for fellows and junior faculty.

Learning Objectives

Demonstrate opportunities to think creatively when unexpected things happen during CIED implantation, extraction, and management.
Review expert tips for navigating challenging anatomy for CIED implantation.
Describe patient management strategies when unexpected things occur.
