The Diverse Roles of Inflammation in Arrhythmogenesis
Description
This session will discuss the current state of understanding of how inflammation mediated by cytokines and immune cells contributes to cardiac pathologies over acute to chronic time courses in a variety of disease etiologies.
Learning Objectives
Understand how inflammation promotes arrhythmia over different timescales.
Understand the roles of inflammatory cytokines and resident and migrating immune cells in arrhythmogenesis.
Learn about emerging antiarrhythmic therapies targeting inflammatory processes.
