The Impact Allied Professionals Play in CIED Management
Description
This session will discuss various ways allied professionals can impact the efficiency and care of patients with CIEDs. It will demonstrate ways allied professionals can be instrumental in terms of discussions of goals of care, optimization of CRTs, managing both pediatric and adult congenital heart patients with CIEDs, MRI workflows for CIED patients, and running an allied professional led ILR program.
Learning Objectives
  • Discuss goals of care strategies when managing elderly patients at the time of needing ICD generator changes
  • Identify ways that allied professionals have an impact on the efficiency and patient satisfaction/outcomes when managing CIEDS in various aspects such as in clinic and MRI management
  • Identify the benefits of an allied professional led loop implantation model
