When to Say NO to Catheter Ablation of VT/PVCs ?

Description

Improvements in the techniques and technology available for mapping and ablation has been paralleled by an increase utilization of VT/PVC ablation in complex patients subsets. This session will focus on when it is NOT indicated or appropriate to perform a catheter ablation procedure in patients with recurrent VT or frequent PVCs.

Learning Objectives

Review the risks associated with catheter ablation of VT/PVC.
Identify subsets of patients with VT/PVC in whom a catheter ablation procedure is not appropriate.
Determine the clinical profile of patients in whom recurrent VT or frequent PVCs are best managed with escalation of antiarrhythmic drug therapy as opposed to catheter ablation.
