Core Concepts in Remote Monitoring 2023 Module 1: The Current State of Remote Monitoring in EP
Description
Module One of Core Concepts in Remote Monitoring is The Current State of Remote Monitoring in EP. This module is designed to provide a baseline of knowledge about the practice of remote monitoring within the field of electrophysiology. The sessions in this module provide an overview of the 2023 Remote Monitoring Concensus document and highlight the updates made since the release of the 2015 Remote Monitoring Guidelines. Sessions are also devoted to studies of digital wearable devices, as well as the use of those devices and best practices for interpreting their data. Global remote monitoring experts also provide case studies to aid in the understanding of remote monitoring operations in clinic settings.

Sessions Include:

  • An Overview of Current Best Practices in Remote Monitoring
  • Device Types and Indicators
  • A Panel Discussion of Device Cases
  • A Round Table Discussion: Hear from Current Practitioners and Patients
  • International Perspectives and the Geography of Remote Monitoring
Learning Objectives
  • Become familiar with the updated guidelines and best practices for remote monitoring as outlined in the new 2023 HRS/EHRA/APHRS/LAHRS Expert Consensus Statement on Practical Management of the Remote Device Clinic.
  • Identify key changes made in the 2023 Concensus document as compared to the 2015 Remote Monitoring Guidelines.
  • Review the growing number of digital patient wearable health devices that are enabled to play a role in the remote monitoring of cardiac conditions and the specific strengths and challenges that are associated with them.
  • Interpret data from sample remote monitoring cases and review diagnostics and case management with experts in the field.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, Cardiac Technicians/ Technologist/ Therapist/ Physiologist, Genetic Counselor, and other non-Physicians seeking a comprehensive overview of Remote Monitoring in the field of electrophysiology.
