Description
This webinar is the third in a series of live and recorded events that examine the 2023 ACC/AHA/ACCP/HRS Guideline for the Diagnosis and Management of Patients With Atrial Fibrillation. This webinar specifically covers anti-coagulation strategies for patients with atrial fibrillation. Stroke prevention strategies will also be discussed in detail, as will other non-pharmacological therapies for patients with atrial fibrillation.
Learning Objectives
- Discuss appropriate anticoagulation strategies for treating patients with atrial fibrillation
- Determine how the approach should be tailored to consider comorbidities and the patient’s age and gender.
- Evaluate stroke prevention strategies for patients with atrial fibrillation.
- Examine the effectiveness of device-based therapies as an alternative to long-term anticoagulation in patients with atrial fibrillation.
